How to build a Drupal 7 template

This video will give you an overview of a Drupal 7 template and its functionality. Drupal 7 has some changes as compared to its previous version drupal 6 which was also quite popular for a long time. There are some template files that are included in the theme folder such as region.tpl.php an html.tpl.php and so on. Also now you have to define your javascript and css in the info file only. There are also some changes done in core modules and drupal api. Some functions has been deprecated while others has been removed. For more updates about drupal 7 theme api functions go to api.drupal.org

  8. I stopped this video within the first four minutes. The title is "How to build a Drupal 7 template", but it seems like your trying to point out changes between Drupal 6 and 7. You also seem to get caught up in what doesn't work in the new themeing process. I just got to the point where I couldn't listen anymore.

If you want to keep your audience, then pick a goal and get there soon. A 5-minute video is almost too long.

Because it looks like templates are a starting point for theming, we all want to learn how its done. You may well have enough knowledge to teach that. But plan the route and don't wander from it.
